​Every application for a Grant is assessed on its own merit and given sensitive and careful consideration.

Our Mission

The principle aim of our Charity is to provide grants for the needy in the Wiltshire town of Calne.
This is either in the form of Relief in Need and could be due to personal hardship or with our other Charity, Advancement in Life which provides funding to support a personal wish, goal or education, where without additional funding this would not be possible.

We also provide accommodation in our beautiful, historic Almshouses to enable the elderly of our community and surrounding villages to live independently for as long as possible. Funding is given to those living within limited means.
Our town
Calne is a small historic town with the River Marden running through it. We are a civil parish located in Wiltshire at the northwestern extremity of the North Wessex Downs, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Calne as a thriving market town dates back to before 1086 and continues to be a busy centre for it’s 17,000 residents to this day. The beautiful ancient buildings are a dominant feature of our pretty town.
